Permissions Explained
GLOBEL Evidence Stamp requests only the browser permissions needed to place the stamp on the webpage selected by the user.
| Permission | Why it is needed | What it is not used for |
|---|---|---|
activeTab | Provides temporary access to the currently selected tab after the user deliberately activates the extension. | It is not used to monitor general browsing activity or collect browsing history. |
scripting | Allows the extension to insert or remove the visible evidence stamp in the active webpage. | It is not used to inject advertising, tracking code or remote scripts. |
Page information
The extension uses the current page URL and the local device clock to construct the visible stamp. That information remains within the page and browser unless the user independently copies or captures it.
No broad website access
The extension does not request permanent access to all websites. Access is initiated by the user for the active tab.
Future versions
If additional permissions ever become necessary, GLOBEL will explain their purpose before release and the browser will present any new permission request to the user as required.
